Last week x
Last week in ICT we created our own wiki pages. I was quite impressed with myself when I had finished. I managed to link a video to my page and found out information which I wrote in my own way. I'm not looking forward to presenting it though as it's quite boring and obvious! I had to research and find information about how education technology will have advanced from now into 20 years in the future. My page is different to the rest of my groups so hoefull, it won't br completely random! I learnt some new ICT skills which is quite good although I'm not sure if I will remember any of the skills again! That was probably the most I improved during last week so that's my update done! x

Research week x
During research week I did some research on the diffrences of SEN policies in africa and america. This didn't get very far as I couldn't find any information so the research I did was very limited!
I also had to do a piece of writing on learning styles. This was hard as I was stressing over my first piece of uni written work! I did it eventually though and found once you had it started it was easy to get into the flow, although the havard referencing was awkward as I couldn't use the word method due to my computer settings! I also did some reading for Maths and problem solving. Most of the time I was revising for my car theory test which I passed yay! xx

Reflective Learning x
My blog is going to be where I evaluate and reflect on my learning through out the course of my degree. I will be looking at how well I have learnt and how I am developing. Reflective learning is important as it allows you to analyse your own learning styles and reflect on whast went well with a task or idea nd how you can improve. At the moment, I am trying to reflect on how well my blog is going. So far I have succeeded in setting up a basic blogg where I have set up my profile and blogged a few times. I have also been able to follow other bloggers on it too. However, I am not very good at making my blog look effective, adding hyperlinks and doing all the technical stuff! I tend to shout to other people "how do I do this?" I think that this is because I panic and want to be able to do things right away but a better way of learning would be for me to try and discover how to do it myself. The best way of learning is through trial and error - this is how we learn as children and how we grow and develop. Through reflecting on how well I set up and designed my blog I can see that I need to have a play around on it, in order to get better at using it successfully. And this is my first ever go at relective learning!! xx

Evaluation of Website presentation.
Alot of websites are misleading. They give the impression that they know alot about a topic when infact they don't. To stop us from falling into a trap of using websites which claim to know information but have no actual resource, we investigated a website to check it was reliable. In my group we looked for a reliable website on tourism in Japan. The website I found was called did-promotions. i checked that it was a reliable source by using the website colon easywhois. This reassured me that my site was a registered and reliable source. I then evaluated the usefulness of this website and presented my findings to the class. I worked in a group of four to do this and I think we worked well as a team. We each had a role in the presentation and it ran smoothly. I think we highlighted the positive and negative aspects of the website we chose and answered questions to the best of our knowledge and opinion. I think the website was useful and was updated regularly. I would recommend the website for its usefulness and reliability.
About me!
My name is Natassia and I am 19. I live in Swansea with my Dad and have all my life. I have three sisters who live with my Mum. I spend most of my time with my Boyfriend Andrew who is a primary school teacher. I work in Dunvant Primary after school club every night from 3:00 til 6:00 and I love working there. I have always wanted to be a primary school teacher since my first day in school. I came home and told my mum "I wanted to be a teacher cause they have registers" and I haven't changed my mind since. I am now in University studying an Education degree.
I have a new little Kitten called Milky. She is 11 weeks old and I love her to pieces. I miss her loads when I'm working and in uni. I also have a puppy called Alfie. He is all fluffy like a teddy bear and is 1 year old. I miss him too. At my mum's I have a cat called Toto who we lost for five years and only found this summer. He's really cute and sulks if he sees me giving any other animal any attention.
and that's me! xx
